- Update address and contact details immediately
A Significant Upgrade
“We know dogs and cats are much loved members of the family in many NSW homes and it can be devastating if they ever go missing,” says Minister for Local Government Ron Hoenig. This new platform represents a major upgrade from its 20-year-old predecessor, bringing pet management firmly into the digital age.
Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government Jihad Dib emphasises the platform’s mobile-friendly design, noting that it “delivers an enhanced and mobile-friendly experience for pet owners to have all pet-related information in one place.”

The system maintains the legal requirements that:
- Microchipping and registration remain compulsory for NSW cats and dogs
- Adopted pets from council pounds or designated rehoming organisations come pre-microchipped and are eligible for free registration
