Supporting our community through challenging times

In response to the mounting cost of living pressures affecting local families, a comprehensive support initiative is coming to Liverpool Civic Place. The ‘Bring Your Bill & Fill Your Form Day’ will connect residents with expert service providers, offering practical solutions and support for those grappling with household expenses.

Event Details

The free community event will be held at Liverpool Civic Place, Level 1, Council Chambers, 52 Scott Street, Liverpool, on Thursday, 27th February 2025. To accommodate various schedules, the event will run two sessions: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Breaking Down the Support Available

“Many residents are unaware of the full range of support services and rebates available to them,” says the event organisers. “We’re bringing together key organisations under one roof to help our community navigate these challenging times.”

The event will feature representatives from major service providers and support organisations, including:

  • Services Australia
  • Service NSW
  • Sydney Water
  • Community First Step
  • Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA)
  • The Salvation Army
  • Anglicare
  • Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW
  • Core Community Services
  • Australian Dental Association NSW Branch

What to Bring

Residents are encouraged to bring ALL:

  • Recent utility bills (electricity, gas, water)
  • Phone and internet bills
  • Identification documents
  • Concession cards
  • Medicare card
  • Recent income statements (if seeking financial assistance)

Making a Real Difference

With inflation affecting everyday expenses, from groceries to utilities, this initiative aims to ensure residents aren’t paying more than necessary for essential services. Expert advisers will be available to:

  • Review current service plans
  • Identify eligible rebates and concessions
  • Assist with government form completion
  • Provide financial counselling
  • Connect residents with hardship programs
  • Offer guidance on energy and water efficiency

Support Without Judgement

“We understand that many people are doing it tough right now,” the organisers emphasise. “This isn’t about paying bills on the day – it’s about connecting you with the right support and ensuring you’re getting the best possible deals on your services.”

Free Service, No Appointment Needed

The drop-in service is completely free, and no appointments are necessary. All discussions are confidential, and support is available for everyone in the community.

More Information

For additional details about the event, contact the organisers at:

  • Phone: (02) 9726 3988

Don’t miss this opportunity to potentially save hundreds of dollars on your household expenses. Mark your calendar for Thursday, 27th February 2025, and join us at Liverpool Civic Place for expert advice and support.

Remember: Sometimes, the simplest review can lead to significant savings. Whether you’re struggling with bills or simply want to ensure you’re getting the best value, this event is for you.

This initiative is part of ongoing community support efforts to address cost of living pressures in the Liverpool area. All residents are welcome to attend.
